About us
Owned by husband and wife team Mark and Gina Durey, The Cutting Room was established in the UK in 1988 to produce chipboard display tables for the retail trade and supply major in and out of town retail groups.
In 1990 the company installed their first CNC router (CNC routing is the cutting, shaping, drilling, milling, and surfacing of materials using a computer controlled router or milling machine) to increase table production. At the same time the company started providing a subcontract CNC routing service to major manufacturers both in the UK and internationally.
Keen to offer a dedicated service to the public, Mark and Gina invested in the latest software and increased the company's production capacity with two new CNC routers. This enabled them to additionally offer custom cut and shaped items such as boat moulds, staircases, seats, shop and display features and even sets for television programmes.
Today The Cutting Room continues to prosper with a wide, and growing, number of trade and public customers who either visit them at their premises in Cambridgeshire or go to their website: www.cncrouting.co.uk.
In addition, the company also runs the successful Doors2Size.com website which specialises in producing new or replacement custom cut and shaped kitchen, bathroom and bedroom cupboard doors finished in various styles and colours. To find out more visit: www.doors2size.com.
Shapes2Size.com is the latest addition to the range of services offered by The Cutting Room
